I want to send a thank you note for so quickly getting my laptop fixed and back to me. The Dell M1330 is a lemon. I've had the video card and fans replaced both under warranty. When the power blew, I called a few shops who could only offer to replace my motherboard and I contemplated getting another laptop. But thanks to USPS, I figured I could ship it to you for $26 (round trip) and have it fixed for $99. You provide a great service for laptop owners who have nowhere to get their laptops serviced locally.

I can't say enough about the service and product Joe provides. I run a very small almost hobby like PC repair business but still screwed up my Laptop's BIOS. I got lazy because it was mine. It was a brick as far as Lenovo was concerned but Joe brought it back to life, in fact, he installed a new HSF at no charge. Wonderful, outstanding service and he saved my highly modified laptop. I put the sub-board back in, figured out where all of the screws went, fired
it up and I got to see that wonderful SONY splash screen again. The OS
started up fine and I have been able to successfully upgrade to XP.

I wanted to thank you again for your assistance, communications and

just wanted to let you know i received my vaio in good shape and i am really grateful for your service.Ive had

i just wanted to thank you for fixing my vaio. i had been struggling with it for months and months now. it finally gave up and refused to boot on monday morning. i sent it out to you monday evening, got a call back tuesday afternoon from joe to let me know it was all set, and it arrived back on my desk here this morning. booted up on the first try, with no need to press on the plastic cover for the memory banks. this was the first time this year that i've been able to just sit down, turn on my computer, and do some work. i cannot stress enough how great it is to finally have an operational computer again. thank you.
if i ever meet anyone who has one of these grx-series vaio's, i am going to without even the slightest hesitation tell them of the great service that you provide and recommend they send their laptop in to you when it starts showing signs of this problem.

Thank you, Joe, for a great job on the Sony laptop! I received it Wednesday around 1pm and the FedEx driver was careful to make sure I was the correct person before releasing the box.
The laptop appears to be working like new again. I can only hope your soldering lasts longer than Sony's!


Also, you're one of the few repair shops that didn't scratch up or damage my laptop. It arrived in the same cosmetic condition as it left. Thank you for treating it carefully.

have received the new chip (ordered 1/17) and all's well. My leds returned immediately after installation, but no display or POST. Followed Sony no-boot instructions for the model, followed all steps with same result. Finally, I poked at the opening where the screen latches closed with a screwdriver and it booted perfectly. I know that's an old, widely reported problem and I'm sure that I tried it before ordering the new bios. But, as stated, all's well now, and, Joe, I couldn't be happier. The laptop is working, Thank you.

Wish I would have found you sooner, it was well over a yr ago I blew up the bios update. I brought the laptop to a Toshiba service center and they told me I had to replace the motherboard, I searched online and found about the same info and a few others about download the bios and convert to ISO image etc, tired with no look using CD.

Never did hit anything about your company back then. So this last month I decided to search again and came across a forum and someone mentioned you and the fix for the Toshiba and linked to AQS.

I can't tell you what forum, but the comment was from 2004 if I remember so I figured if your still in business that was a good sign. I don't know why I didn't hit that link back when the laptop blew the bios because I did a lot of searching then.

Joe pulled our bacon out of the fire. We did a BIOS update on a high end Lenovo ThinkPad and the laptop failed to boot afterwards. The client was looking at a complete laptop and docking station replacement until I found him. One call, a shipping box and a weeks wait later, the laptop came back to us fully functional and ready to go back in service. On top of it all, had installed the latest BIOS update on the chip as well, thereby saving us some additional time before getting it back to the client. Excellent work by Joe saved my client a couple grand. Thank you again Joe,

You did a fantastic job in locating the plane short and I'm glad I decided to have you repair the board instead of spending the ridiculous $400 on a new motherboard and paying Dell the additional costs to have someone install it. I was a little hesitant about shipping the laptop and worried it might get damaged during shipping but I'm happy about my decision. I think it all worked out great and I'm one satisfied customer. I sent my Vaio GRX550 to Joe @ AQS (aqs12@adelphia.net) to get the soldering fixed. He received it on Monday, fixed it and had it shipped back out the next day. It's been running with full memory and no problems since.For a reasonable $149 + shipping, Joe wins the Sony Support award of the year.Considering Sony wants a minimum of $695 to fix a defect in their product... Should we send the receipts to Sony with a note saying "You're welcome"?

I sent my grx550 to Joe K last week, he recieved it on fri morning, and was finished repairing it on fri afternoon. I just recieved it today and it works just as it did the day I bought it. Joe K did and excelent job, and charged just what he quoted. $149 sure is a lot better than the $800 shaft job sony tried to stick to me. 5150 in February 2006 and it continues to work like a charm. You really came
through at a very stressful time when my life revolved around that laptop.

has been brought against Dell for this defect and reimbursement for this
repair will follow.

Dell refuses to admit there was any design defect but has agreed to settle

I recently had a Dell 1501 with a no power issue that needed some help. After speaking with a repair facility in my area of Pittsburgh, Pa I was told that my only repair was a new motherboard. If this wasn’t bad enough I also found the only Motherboard for this computer is a refurb. At $150 - $300 + labor the repairs looked like bad news and a replacement laptop . One day before dismantling the note book to sell off my upgrades like new 500 gig hard drive, new battery and 2 gig of ram all installed less than a month before, I found, after an extensive web search I might add, a post on a computer forum with your companies name. Never heard of you and couldn’t really find any other posts about you or your company. I am usually the skeptical one and don’t always trust as much as I should. I must say I was very wrong. You took care of everything exactly as your site states. You got the laptop on a Tuesday eve via UPS and by Thursday you were calling to tell me it was done…Unbelievable!

I have never had such a fast turnaround for a computer at such a reasonable price. I honestly don’t know how you do it so fast and at the price you charge. Either way it is great for the customer. I will be glad to recommend you to anyone with a need. My laptop can have a longer life thanks to you…my wallet as well.

The history was a Dell XPS M1330 that was dead one morning and just out of warranty. I did some web research and found identical problems with other owners, dead power switch, power supply brick lights up, but then goes out when plugged into laptop. Further digging yielded your name with a detail of the problem and the fix. Locally, in the Seattle area, 100.00 was the minimum just to diagnose the problem.

A dead laptop is no fun, especially when said laptop cost a bundle and you need it for work. You turned it around back to full working order in ONE day, below the cost of the local guy just looking at it. My hat is off to you sir and you can be sure that any one in my circle or out of it will be calling on you when they have a issue that needs repair.

Just wanted to give you some positive feedback. The CPU board arrived last Thursday and I had the machine back together in 3 hours - probably twice the time it would take you to do it. Anyway, it booted up first time, although it didn't recognize the extra memory card I had added. Once I reopened it up and reseated the memory, it was recognized. The machine has been solid ever since.
